Well, here we are, another Christmas Day is just around the corner. And at WAHI, we think there’s nothing better than spending Christmas in paradise. So if you’re one of the lucky ones this year, or planning on spending Christmas with us next year, here’s a list of our favourite Hamilton Island restaurants dishing up the perfect Christmas Day feast for the whole family.
Feast with a view
There’s a number of 5-star restaurants offering the finest cuisine this Christmas – but we’ll get to some of them shortly – because we think you can’t go past the relaxed atmosphere and views of your very own balcony! Yep, why not host a Christmas feast at your own WAHI apartment? Just drop into the local IGA for everything you need.
Bommie Restaurant
A Hamilton Island institution, Bommie Restaurant at the Hamilton Island Yacht Club is presenting a truly fine dining Christmas experience. Their special Christmas Day menu features a mouthwatering crab, langoustine custard and smoked caviar dish to start. Followed by a serving of succulent Berkshire Pork and a dessert to die for, aptly named ‘the tart’. If this fare ticks all your boxes, we advise you book straight away.
Sails
For a more relaxed family-friendly dining experience, book into Sails. Boasting picturesque views over Catseye Beach along with a Christmas Buffet menu that everyone will love, it’s our pick for a stress- free feast! We’ve got our eye the delightfully large selection of fresh local prawns, Coffin Bay oysters, Moreton Bay bugs and chilled crab! Yum!
Romano’s
Romano’s won’t offer the most traditional of Christmas dinners, but they will give you and your family a meal to remember! Served feast style in the middle of the table, you’ll be treated to 3 courses of delectable Italian cuisine including house made lemon ricotta with burnt honey and rosemary, hot smoked ocean trout and porchetta with anchovy and rosemary pound. Bellissimo!
