Every Saturday at 7am, over 175,000 runners head to the local park for Parkrun.

Parkrun is a free, weekly, 5km timed run that has ignited a love of running in people all over the world.

Currently, Parkruns are held in 741 locations around the world, with 145 of those in Australia.

One of those locations is Hamilton Island.

Parkrun Hamilton Island launched in September 2015 and is held every Saturday at 7am, starting and finishing at Front Street. It’s free - all you have to do is register online and print out your barcode.

Once you’ve registered with Parkrun, you can participate in any Parkrun around the world.

It’s a friendly, non-competitive environment where you can walk, run or do a combination of both. Afterwards, enjoy a post-run coffee with fellow Parkrunners in the Marina Café.
