It’s our favourite time of the year!
For three months, from June through to September, the sheltered and warm waters of the Whitsundays offer safe refuge to thousands of migrating humpback whales and their offspring.
If you’re staying with us during this period, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to spot a pod of whales from Catesye Beach, or from your apartment’s balcony.
But if you’re keen to get up a bit closer to these majestic mammals, jump on a tour charter out to sea. Most operators are willing to share their whale watching secrets during their tours, and if you’re lucky, you could land that once in a million photo.
For more information about whale watching on Hamilton Island, and to check availability from June through September, flick us on email on stay@wahi.com.au or call us on +61 7 4969 9905.
